Paul is a new business, marketing/advertising strategy and management consultant to agencies. He led over 25 successful new business account acquisitions in his career; recently he helped a small Baltimore agency win the Charles Town Races & Slots gaming account.
Former Senior Vice President, Partner and Account Leader at Carton Donofrio Partners (RM&D), then a $122 million marketing communications agency in Baltimore, where he spent 17 years.
Paul was educated at Yale and got his basic training in advertising in New York at Young & Rubicam, client side marketing at Avon and for five years managing the Washington office of Grey Advertising. He was the new business director of two agencies. And he has broad account experience including AstraZeneca, Baltimore Gas & Electric, Charles Town Races & Slots, Choice Hotels, DuPont, Ryland Homes, Lucite, Riggs Bank, and Maryland State Tourism, among many others.
In Paul's consulting practice, he has completed assignments for over 20 advertising agencies ranging from a few hours to over a year. Services include the New Business Accelerator, an on-site workshop developing a new business system that works; Agency Re-Envisioning, a customized on-site agency planning and motivational process; agency and client branding through his proprietary BrandVision™ brand development process; as well as new business pitch support, account retention and growth, account planning, problem account refocus and strategic development, personnel hiring and training, and systems and profitability.
He is a frequent national speaker and author on marketing topics. And Paul is a recommended agency consultant by The Second Wind Network of advertising agencies, as well as the author of many Second Wind articles.
